Hair serums have become a key component of the natural hair care regime. In all honesty, it has become almost as important as shampoo and conditioner. This is because hair serums help you lock moisture into your strands, and it is the key to getting that all-day shine that everyone loves.
So, what is a hair serum?

Hair serum is commonly confused with hair oil but the two are very different. Hair serums, mostly made from water-soluble silicones, work their magic on the surface of your hair. It can be used on wet hair after washing or on dry hair to finish off a style. Some hair serums can weigh the hair down but using them properly can help you avoid any heavy strands.
Let’s talk about the best ways to utilize hair serums.
Use In Moderation

Since hair serums can be heavy and if you use too much, you could be left with limp hair. When applying, use a small pea-sized amount in each section. Also, keep your serum usage down to 1-2 times per week.
Apply To Your Hair Only
Hair serums are extremely thick and are specially designed for you’re the midsection and ends of your hair. Avoid applying the serum to your scalp or roots to keep them from looking greasy or heavy.
Adding a hair serum to your army of hair products could make the difference between having hair with incredible shine and having dull, lifeless hair. Don’t be afraid to shop around until you find the perfect serum for your hair type. Remember to choose a hair serum that is water soluble for the best results.
What serums have you used and how were the results? share and comment below!
I am not happy with the results of the EAP Heat flat iron because my hair is naturally curly and dry. I did not get the sample serum that will probably aid in helping my hair to shine and not loon so dry. Also, I will have to purchase the smaller flat iron for my roots because the one I purchased is not straightening my roots. I still have to use a straightening comb which defeats the purpose. I am placing another order and hopefully you can’t send the sample of the serum or sample spray that I can try to help yo make my hair look shiny instead of dry. Thank you kindly.
What hair serum is recommendable, I have thick natural hair?
