The Importance of a Regular Trim

Contrary to popular belief getting a regular (used lightly) trim is essential to healthy hair. In all actuality, it encourages hair growth because you are getting rid of split ends and stimulates the hair shaft but keep in mind that it doesn’t make it grow faster. When you allow your hair to grow without a trim the ends can become thin, damaged, and split. Split ends cause more damage because they travel up the hair shaft as far as you will allow them if you do not cut them off at the source.

When you trim your hair, you are getting rid of hair that could become damaged as well as already damaged hair. essentially you are doing maintenance. You are correcting and preventing damage that could potentially have a long-term effect.

  2. Bye bye heat damage - Since once the heat damage is done it is irreversible, getting a trim can remove the damage completely and if you don’t want to chop off too much of your hair you can always trim little by little over time until all the heat damaged hair is gone.
  3. Promote healthy hair – When you trim regularly, you are getting rid of the damage and allowing for healthy growth to transpire. Even though you are losing some hair it helps to maintain the growth of your hair because you are allowing healthy hair to grow without or with minimal damage (if you don’t want to chop all
