How To Make 3 Deep Conditioning Treatments At Home

Deep conditioning treatments are vital for the health of your hair. They are especially good if you have split ends, damaged, or thinning hair. After using a deep conditioning treatment, your hair should feel moisturized and shine should be restored. For optimal results, trim your ends at least once every 2 months.

Here are a few recipes for deep conditioning treatments that you can make at home:

For Hair Growth

This treatment helps restore the vital minerals that your hair needs to grow. Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and saturate your hair. Cover with a plastic cap and apply heat for 15 minutes. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes. Shampoo and rinse well.

  • 1/4 cup rice water
  • 4 tbs aloe vera
  • 2 tbs avocado oil
  • 15 drops peppermint essential oil

For Moisture

If your hair is lacking shine and life, use this treatment to restore the moisture in your hair. Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and saturate your hair. You can opt to leave this in or wash it out.

  • 4 tbs shea butter
  • 1 tbs argan oil
  • 3 TBS coconut oil
  • 2 TBS witch hazel
  • 1 TBS vitamin E

To Detangle

For thick and curly hair, use this deep conditioning treatment to help soften your hair and make it easier to comb.  Mix ingredients in a spray bottle and apply to hair before detangling. You can opt to leave it in or rinse it out.

  • 1 TSB aloe vera gel
  • 1/2 TSB vegetable glycerin
  • 5 TSB distilled water
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

For Protein

This treatment is for severely damaged hair. Mix ingredients well. Apply this to your entire head and cover with a plastic cap for 30 minutes. Wash well with a moisture-retaining shampoo.

1 egg

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup honey
