Meet our Flat Irons

Our flat irons can be broken down into categories, plate type, and size. So, when deciding which flat iron will be the best for you and your needs try to keep these two in mind. You might even think about using a combination of the two depending on hair type, texture, and the time allotted for a silk press. The two types of plates we offer with our flat irons are ceramic and titanium and the sizes range from ½ inch to 1 ¾ inch.

Ceramic vs. Titanium

Our ceramic flat irons are great for all hair types, they protect hair from heat damage by distributing infrared heat technology making them gentler on hair. If this is your first flat iron we do suggest one of these because it is less likely to cause damage to your hair and they work well on all hair types.

Our Titanium flat irons are great for thicker to coarse hair because the ultrasonic heat penetrates strands taming frizz and leaving behind silky straight hair. There are fewer passes in the hair that need to be made because of the stronger heat distribution. If you aren’t new to flat ironing, want a quicker silk press, and are mindful of the heat being emitted from the flat iron we suggest one of these for you.

Sizing

When it comes to flat irons, size is imperative. All flat iron sizes do not work efficiently for all hair types or every style. If you are flat ironing pixie cuts, bands, or laying edges our ½ icy flat iron will suffice because it gets close to the scalp and creates small curls. If you are flat ironing short to medium-length hair our 1-inch flat iron will suffice because it’s all-purpose and helps style beyond simply straightening. If you are flat ironing short longer length hair our 1 ¾ inch flat iron will suffice because it is a time saver and it is also great for thicker hair.
