Combating breakage is not solely the responsibility of your hair care products but your entire routine as a whole in lauding your go-to styles and what you know about your hair. 

Breakage 

This is when hair breaks off before reaching a complete lifecycle unexpectedly, leaving pieces shorter than the rest of your hair. The reason for the breakage can vary based on the strength of your hair. But tight ponytails can cause tension and create breakage for all hair types. Luckily slowly but surely breakage can be dealt with; it just depends on your approach. Here are a few tips to prevent and remedy breakage: 

  • Deep condition; adding hydration brings the life back into strands
  • Apply hair serum before tying your ponytail for the hair tie to glide and not snag 
  • Be careful with your hairline as it is the weakest part of your hair 
  • Avoid excessive heat; if you can get a good press in on one or two passes it’s time for a new flat iron and always remember
