What is a scalp massage?
Similar to the types of other massages one can get, scalp massages aren’t for releasing tension and pain. However, they are meant to help with blood circulation and stimulation of hair follicles. Done with a gentle touch, scalp massages can be done with or without oil as the massage itself brings your scalp's natural oils out. Typically they are done using fingertips but with the introduction of scalp massagers, the pressure can be taken off of your fingertips.
How can I benefit from a nightly scalp massage?
Scalp massaging targets hair follicles and stretches the cells, in turn encouraging the production of thicker hair. Also activating blood circulation beneath the scalp stimulates hair growth. Not to mention it can also relax you before heading to bed.
